the project: jean shorts

I am finding that when Erika sends me a picture I seem to have a similar picture in my back pocket...from either recent months or recent days. Which makes me think about how cool it is that we're thousands of miles apart and channeling the same styles, in completely different cities (LA and Columbus) with completely different lifestyles. And THIS weekend was no exception! (You'll see why below...our first special guest star on the proj)!

E sent over this picture in front of her city in laidback jean shorts and a casual tee complete with a linen scarf to pull it all together. What you can't see is the bee that soon after got caught in that scarf and as she was Skyping with her family back here in Cbus it flew out and stung her. Talk about buzz kill! (I'm here all night, folks.)
Article B is Yours Truly channeling my own favorite new jean shorts and kicks (the white All-Stars). It doesn't get much simpler and comfier than this for an evening with the gals at a Clipper's baseball game! FYI: that tank was $6 from Old Navy. The messenger bag was 10 bucks from Walmart. Keep your eyes open for deals, people!

THEN, my bestie Tessa all the way out in NYC sent this pic to my phone as she was headed to a cookout for the Memorial Day weekend! She's ready to go in her fav kicks and cut offs, pulling it together with a thin plaid shirt.
