southern flourish

Tangy accents, cascading palm trees, old plantations with huge shutters, colorful exteriors and all things generally warm are what come to mind when I think of the South. I have always wanted to take some time to travel to the cities of Charleston and Nashville to get a taste for the Southern hospitality I so often hear of when the cities are mentioned. The mixed cultures, vibrant interior design and lax attitude are all so inspiring I could fly down right this moment to wander the brick streets with an iced (peach) tea in hand!
Southern Flourish, a new 100% digital Southern-focused shelter and lifestyle magazine launches March 15, bringing us a look into Derby-styled fashions, rethought Southern food classics and long weekend travel guides. For all you Domino and Real Simple readers this will be a Southern take on the modern and chic lifestyle we drooled over in the respective magazines...with a Southern twist!
The magazine's 100% digital format means that readers can click-through to learn more about both the people and products featured in the magazine, as well as easily share pages with friends and embed the magazine on their own blogs and websites. What's more, Southern Flourish's articles are composed by writers living in different parts of the South including some of the web's most prominent bloggers, including my friend Olivia over at Everyday Musings [one of her articles below].The premiere issue of Southern Flourish goes live on March 15 and will be available at http://www.southerflourish.com/. Be sure to add it to your favorites or check back here for sneak peeks and highlights from the premiere issue! Quite honestly if it's anything like Domino I will be all over it!

i love this! also, please add savannah to your list of places in the south to visit. it's absolutely stunning there, and it's just a short car-ride from charleston, so you can kill two birds with one stone. :)
