DIY no sew ruffle Christmas tree skirt

I knew that yesterday I wanted to accomplish my first Pinterest project. Mom clipped the Joann's 40% Sunday coupon and off we went to purchase my fabrics! I was not only inspired but completely redid the burlap and muslin ruffle Christmas Tree skirt found via Pinterest.

I followed Ashley's directions, with a bit of tailoring to a process I found most practical. I bought 2 yards of burlap and 2 yards of muslin/cream fabric. I bought 4 yards of a base fabric and traced my Mom's tree skirt so I wouldn't have to give my left arm to purchase a base. It worked out pretty well! Below is my version and I am in love. It will last for years to come and will match no matter what way I decide to decorate for Christmas. The texture pops as well. I tried it out on a tree at work so you could get the full gist of things.

Then I made Kelly twirl in it!

Carrie, this is amazing!!! I love it as a human skirt in addition to a tree skirt!
