packing 101

My friends, last night was The Night to Start Packing! I put on some tunes, I opened all my closets and drawers and I got down to business. I am here today to offer up some suggestions for easy vacation packing solutions:

1. Invite a friend and her dog over to hang out while you pack. Not only will you have someone to talk to while getting excited about all your new vacation purchases about to get some good use, but you'll have someone to try on wigs* and scarves for while they point and laugh at you for ironing cotton tank tops. (They were wrinkled OKAY LAUREN?) (*My amazing Beyonce wig from Halloween I found in the closet)

2. Set everything out you want to take as if you were Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen and a troop of men were hired to carry all of your belongings because it doesn't matter how heavy or how many suitcases you have...you are Carrie Leanne Mazza.

3. Then take about half of that stuff away and realize you're going to have to heft over $100 bucks for a 50+ lb bag and that you are only Carrie Leanne Mazza, not Mary Kate or Ashley Olsen.4. Sleep on it. Then take more shoes out of the bag. Step away from the shoes.

i travel a lot, and when i'm packing i roll tank tops (if they won't wrinkle), but i lay everything else pretty much flat. it helps save space! i also make super type-a-personality packing lists so i don't forget things.

have fun, carrie!!

when i travel, i like to send threatening text messages to random phone numbers. tell them i know where they live. i have see where they sleep. say things like "we were meant to be together" and "if i cant have you, no one can."

does it really have anything to do wth traveling or your blog entry?

no. but its tuesday morning. and i have been drinking. and sometimes people need to know what i am thinking.
