mehico

Hola! Me llamo Carrie. And this is el blog...a neglected blog. You see, I just got back from Mexico; tanned, relaxed and happy to be generally away. It was due time! I took a siesta everyday, I know you're jeal. Hell, I'm jeal of my own self, missing those siesta's.
Here are some small highlights of the trip before we get to the pictures:
1. I turned off my phone upon arrival after letting Mom know we were safe, alive, and on our way to our place. I had my phone off for 5 days. FIVE DAYS. It was incredible. I never realized how much I carry that thing with me like it's my kidney. Even in my own house I carry it from room to room and check it an unnecessary amount of times.
2. On that note, no one had their phones on them (they were in a lock box). Therefore, no one EVER knew what time it was. Ever. There wasn't a clock in our house and no one wore watches. It was a fun game to guess what time it was and realize it was 2 hours behind what we had guessed. The days c r e p t.
3. We were there to see Eric and Anna wed and had added bonus points to vacate for 5 days. These were Jake's college friends and they are the sweetest, kindest couple- to others and to eachother. It was a beautiful ceremony and the bride was gorgeous!
4. I have never had better tacos and guacamole in my entire life.

And now for some pictures!

Yay! Welcome back! I love everything about your vacation: the ban on cell phones, the locale, how cute and happy you all look, your side braid, the gorgeous wedding, and the best tacos and guac of your life!
